Day 120 in Beijing: Shanghai vs Beijing. By Aram | October 3, 2013 - 10:00 am |September 30, 2013 Health, Travel, Weather Beijing is in the north of inland China. Shanghai is more south and on the coast. The difference, in weather and pollution, is staggering. 339 in Beijing. And it is only Autumn. Unless necessary, most people just stayed inside. Yep, 339. Pretty much unhealthy to all living creatures. Up until this weekend, the pollution wasn’t so bad. Seems they may be testing the coal furnaces for winter heating. We aren’t far from the US Embassy. They are the most reliable of all the testing sites. Shanghai is usually about 1/3 the pollution of Beijing. Share this:FacebookTwitterTumblrPinterestEmail Bookmark the permalink.
